YTD figures show the current year’s pace but omit the remaining months, so they are incomplete for a full-year multiple. Compare YTD to the same months last year to adjust for seasonality. A strong YTD after a weak prior year still needs a TTM or a conservative forecast. Always note the as-of date on the report.
