EBITDA measures operating earnings before financing costs, taxes, and non-cash depreciation or amortization. Buyers and lenders use it to compare businesses with different capital structures and tax situations. Main Street listings more often quote SDE; EBITDA becomes more common as deals move toward the lower middle market, where the owner is not the primary labor. A Bizgora listing may show EBITDA when the seller or broker reports it, alongside cash flow or asking price.
